Terry Fox run was a success with all students participating to the best of their abilities. We will find out on Monday how much money we were able to donate to the Cancer Research Fund.

The students in room 3 have this to say about their field trip to Fish Creek...AMAZING, AWESOME FUN AND FAST!! Make sure that you ask your child about their day.
Terry Fox run is tomorrow at 9:30. Student Voice reps will collect money in each class that will go towards the cancer foundation.

Tomorrow is our field trip to Fish Creek! :) We are learning about plants in the fall. 

Big thanks out to Jessica's mom who will be volunteering with us for the day.

Students have a picture sheet to share with you called "What To Bring". The weather is likely to be very cool so please keep that in mind as you go over the possibilities of what to wear and bring.

Keep those coins of courage coming. Terry Fox run is on Friday.

We will be collecting coins for courage all this week for the Terry Fox Run this coming Friday.
SUTP is due tomorrow.
 Fish Creek field trip is on for this coming Thursday.
We planted crocus bulbs today that we hope to see poke up through the ground in the spring.

Thanks to all the parents who returned the field trip notices today.
I am looking forward to meeting parents tonight and tomorrow to hear what they are going to say about their little student.
Due to conferences tomorrow there will be no school for students.

Remember, your voice counts on School Council. First meeting is Tuesday (tomorrow) September 17 at 6:30 pm.. On the agenda are updates from the principal and teachers, executive positions available, and more.
Also, did you sign up for meet the teacher? This happens on this coming  Thursday evening, and again
on Friday.

Today was our Virtues Activity Day. It was a fast day. We learned about honesty, integrity, fairness,  perseverance, respectfulness, and responsibility.
Coming home today are parent teacher conference information forms and info concerning lap top purchases through the CBE.
School Council is holding the first meeting on Tuesday September 17th at 6:30 p.m. PLEASE ATTEND.

Coming home today is the student union ticket packs.
Tomorrow morning we are participating in different activities with a focus on virtues. Should be a great start to the day!

When you see "Ask me about.." its simply to be used as conversation starters about your childs day at school.

Sent home today were pamphlets regarding opportunities to register in various sports and city programs, as well as, information about accident coverage offered through the school board.

Ask me about the relay races we did in Gym.
Ask me what I did in learning centers today.

There was no message yesterday because for some unknown reason I was not able to access the blog. Technology!?
Today your child will be bringing home a colored plastic folder which will contain school communications and any work they have completed. Only the oldest student in the school will be bringing home the newsletter.
Plastic folders need to come back.

Sept. 4
Today we had music first, then we went outside for gym because our gym floor is being replaced. Kira said we had a fantastic and fun day. Taha played lava tag outside with his friends. Madisen liked how she got to play instruments in music. Soon there will be recorders to play in music. We learned a little
bit more about each other by doing interviews.

                             WOW, this day just flew by. It was a great and amazing day. We saw familiar friends, and we met some new ones too. We worked on a getting to know each other scavenger hunt, we met our new music teacher, got our school supplies, and even did some math.
